TOP                        Master of Public Health: Health Administration and Policy (M.P.H.)

The MPH program at PSU is the Health Administration and Policy track of a statewide MPH program which includes Oregon State University and Oregon Health Sciences University. The goal of the broad program is to provide leadership in the fields of education, research, and service in all aspects of the public's health. At PSU, the program of study is organized around 5 components:
  • MPH core, common to all tracks in the statewide program (15 credits)
  • health administration concentration core (15 credits)
  • health administration concentration electives (12 credits)
  • other electives (12 credits)
The teaching of the MPH core in Portland is coordinated between PSU and OHSU; PSU students register through PSU but take two of the core courses on the OHSU campus. All other required courses are offered at PSU. Electives may also be taken from a selected list of offerings at OHSU and at OSU. In view of the many working students who enroll in the program, most courses are offered in either an evening or a weekend format.
